New Feature: Password Protect Reports

Our latest feature provides added protection for businesses who download reports from the system and save these to their laptop or computer, or who send reports to others via email or some other channel. You can now add passwords to reports to prevent any unauthorised access to these files and to ensure that your sensitive data is kept confidential.

To enable the feature:

  • Go to Settings > Advanced > General
  • Tick the Enable password protection for reports checkbox
  • Enter a password into the Report password field
  • Click Save

Once it is enabled, you can then easily encrypt reports by simply clicking on the Password protect this report download checkbox when generating a report in the Reports section.

Please remember that the password on a report will always be the password that was set on the system when the report was generated. In other words, if you change the password on the system after a report is downloaded, that previously downloaded report will still use the old password - only newly generated reports will make use of the new password.

We hope this new feature gives you additional peace of mind over the security of your data. If you have any trouble using the new feature or have any feedback or questions, please reach out to our support team.
